Job summary

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant municipal/state/land development engineering experience.
• Active Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Involved in civil engineering project aspects including studies, reports, plans, specs, and cost estimates for facilities like site plans, hydraulics & hydrology, drainage design, stormwater management, water/sewer utilities, roadways.
• Execute engineering best practices for civil projects for a variety of clients; adapt quickly to new environments.
• Assist senior staff with production of project plans, specs, scheduling, budgeting, memos, and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction management tasks: submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and contractor coordination.
• Conduct site visits, surveys, inspections, data collection and assessment for infrastructure projects.
• Maintain effective relationships with employees, clients, and public agencies.

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer (EIT) to join our growing civil team. This role works closely with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and specialists to deliver projects to a variety of clients.

Responsibilities

• Be involved inCivil Engineeringrelated project aspects includingstudies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Projects may include planning, modeling, and design of facilities such as site plans, hydraulics and hydrology, drainage design, stormwater management, water and sewer utilities, roadway, and other miscellaneous civil design projects.


• Ability to execute engineering best practices forcivil engineeringprojects for a wide variety of clients, adapting to new environments quickly.


• Assist senior staff in the production of project plans, specifications, scheduling, budgeting, technical memorandums and cost estimates.


• Assist senior staff with construction management tasks such as material submittal reviews, responding to requests-for-information, conducting site visits, and coordination with contractors.


• Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections, and assist with data collection, compilation and assessment for infrastructure projects.


• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and public agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.


• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in municipal, state, and land development engineering.


• Active Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Must be flexible, organized, dependable, and accountable with a proactive approach to responsibilities.


• Physically able to conduct on-site visits as needed.


• Experience using computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents (examples include software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS).

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
