Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus
• Previous Internship preferred or 1+ years of professional engineering experience
• Engineering in Training (EIT) certification preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or Storm Sewers a plus
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• You will build practical engineering skills including grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, permitting, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• You will help to design ecological restoration projects that reconnect streams to floodplains, restore wetlands, improve aquatic habitat, enhance water quality, and create lasting benefits for communities
• Along the way, you'll work closely with Project Managers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, gaining valuable experience and visibility throughout the project lifecycle
• Your experience will extend beyond the computer screen, from field investigations and drone-assisted site assessments to conceptual design, regulatory permitting, construction oversight, and finally seeing a restored stream flow through a newly created floodplain
