Civil Engineer - Early/Mid-Career

Our growth offers exciting opportunities for civil engineers. An early/mid-career engineer could have experience ranging from 2-6 years. Land Development experience is a plus but not required.

As a member of BL Companies, an engineering team, you will be exposed to civil site development design for residential, commercial and industrial land development projects. Work includes concept plan preparation, civil site design, stormwater management, stormwater design, grading and drainage, and erosion and sediment control design.

Responsibilities include performing the production of basic to complex levels of civil design for site, grading, utility, storm drainage plans and related tasks. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D are preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D to develop civil site design for land development projects and to prepare construction documents, exhibits and entitlement documents.

• Research permit requirements and local regulations.

• Layout sites to meet local zoning requirements.

• Grade sites and perform earthwork calculations.

• Assist with preparation of technical reports and plans to acquire permits and permit modifications during construction.

• Prepare and design of plans and technical reports to acquire permits.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

Requirements:

• B.S. in engineering

• 2-6 years of experience in civil engineering

• EIT certification preferred and or ability to obtain within a year for engineering position.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D, preferred.

• Excellent technical, communication and organizational skills.
