About the Position

VHB is seeking a Civil Engineer for our Mid-Atlantic Energy Evolution Practice. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic, collaborative team driving innovation in the energy sector. Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering plans and specifications for Energy and Land Development projects within a team of professionals.
• Perform fieldwork to collect data, record measurements, and capture site photos/videos.
• Analyze collected data.
• Draft plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist in preparing land entitlement and permitting documents.
• Develop reports presenting design calculations.

Skills and Attributes

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to perform engineering tasks in coordination with the project team, integrating design and developing deliverables.
• Strong computer skills, with experience or exposure to AutoCAD Civil3D preferred.
• Experience or exposure to stormwater design software such as PondPack, HydroCAD, StormCAD, AutoCAD S&S Analysis, or similar.
• Self-motivated with critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 1-3+ years of land development/civil engineering internship or co-op experience.
• Prior land development design experience (erosion control, stormwater management, site grading) preferred.
• EIT certification preferred.
