Job summary

Avove Limited is hiring a Civil Engineer to support our Severn Trent Water design work. Location: Derby or Birmingham, with hybrid office/remote working. Permanent contract.

You will help deliver projects across the Severn Trent Water framework from feasibility through to commissioning. Responsibilities include producing drawings, calculations and reports, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with professional accreditation working towards preferred.
• Experience in water and/or wastewater non-infrastructure design is desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD, with strong technical reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and workload management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil design solutions for water and wastewater projects across the Severn Trent Water framework.
• Support projects through the full lifecycle, from feasibility and optioneering to detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
• Produce and review technical drawings, calculations, reports and site survey information.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop efficient, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.

Avove offers flexible hybrid working, combining office and remote working. Contract type: Permanent. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver civil design solutions for water and wastewater projects across the Severn Trent Water framework.
