Selectek in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Civil Engineer with an EIT to lead site design for diverse Federal, municipal, retail, and industrial projects. You will create complex site designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D, develop construction documents, and mentor junior designers while helping improve design processes and QAQC checklists.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, complete the FE Exam, 2–5 years of site design experience, and strong communication skills to coordinate with PMs,

• Completion of FE Exam is required.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency to create complex site designs and construction documents.
• 2–5 years of civil site design experience (grading, drainage, paving, utilities).
• Strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create/modify site plans, grading and drainage, utilities, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with Civil Engineer to analyze site, incorporate surveys and geotechnical data.
• Ensure designs meet local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects and others to develop specs and budgets.
• Communicate with clients to understand needs, present options, and address concerns.
• Perform QA/QC on own work and maintain project documentation.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer that has a passion for civil site design and possesses their EIT. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for an individual to be part of our client’s growing team. First, leading with strong technical skills to solve site development civil challenges for clients and secondarily helping the civil team’s continuous improvement efforts in setting up design processes, QAQC checklists and strong production drawing and modeling templates (AutoCAD Civil 3D). The work is varied across local, regional and national. The work is also diverse in nature serving Federal Government, Local Municipal, Retail, Commercial, Healthcare and Industrial clients. This position will provide an individual with the opportunity to lead large multi-million-dollar, multi-discipline projects as the Civil Discipline Lead or allow the individual to provide oversite of numerous smaller projects while providing direction and mentoring of civil designers and technicians.

Activities and Duties

Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D software to create and modify site plans, grading and drainage layouts, utility layouts, and construction documents.

Work with Civil Engineer to conduct site analysis, and integrate topographical surveys and geotechnical data, to inform design decisions.

Ensure designs comply with local, state and federal regulations and codes.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects and other team members to develop project specifications and budgets.

Communicate with clients to understand their needs, present design options, and address any concerns.

Perform quality checks and reviews of own work to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, calculations, and reports.

Provide support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings.

Stay updated on library trends and advancements in AutoCAD Civil 3D software and site civil design practices.

Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering

Completion of FE Exam

AutoCAD Civil 3D Proficiency with the ability to create complex site designs and construction documents.

2-5 years of civil site design experience. (grading, drainage, paving, site constructability & utility design)
