Job summary

The Civil Engineer at Vestal Corporation will perform civil site design, roadway, commercial design, and water and sewer services. You will design site layouts, grading, stormwater, sanitary sewers, and erosion control, and conduct flood studies for industrial and commercial projects.

You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, interface with clients, and ensure adherence to standards and procedures while building strong relationships across locations and contributing to a positive work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred.
• Functional knowledge of ASCE, AWWA, and International Codes is required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
• Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.
• This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5-10 of years of experience is required.
• Registered P.E is preferred.
• Functional knowledge of ASCE, AWWA, and International Codes is required.
• Proficient user of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
