MESH Consulting, LLC is a civil engineering and surveying firm on the forefront of construction technology. We specialize in computer 3D modeling for automated machine control, construction stakeout, and value engineering, providing 3D data for sitework contractors building airport runways, roadways, and land development projects throughout the country. We are also a leader in applying the 3D modeling process to value engineering applications, working with some of the largest homebuilders in the country to improve their building processes.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer / Project Engineer to join our team. This is a technically focused role centered on 3D surface modeling and grading design for value engineering customers (national homebuilders, developers, and others), with additional support for 3D data preparation for our contractor clients. Our process is highly quality-focused, and delivering excellent results is central to everything we do.

Work Location & Remote Option

This role is available on-site at our Eagleville, PA or Wilmington, DE office, or fully remote from a U.S. location. Remote and in-office employees follow the same standard business hours and quality expectations:

  • In-Office: Full-time based at our Eagleville, PA or Wilmington, DE office, working alongside our engineering and modeling team.
  • Remote: Available after completing a required 1-week, in-person onboarding at our Eagleville, PA office. plus periodic in-person check-ins thereafter, and must work standard business hours (8:00 AM-5:00 PM ET, Monday–Friday) with reliable high-speed internet.

  • Design and build grading surface models for value engineering clients using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Carlson Takeoff.
  • Prepare 3D data for contractor customers, including machine control deliverables for sitework projects.
  • Perform accurate earthwork quantity takeoffs and calculations.
  • Follow established quality control procedures and maintain high standards on all deliverables.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment across our office locations and with remote team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
  • Experience using CAD software for land development or heavy/highway 3D design or modeling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for the civil engineering and construction industry with a strong focus on quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of civil or construction engineering experience, with a strong focus on grading design for residential and commercial projects.
  • Experience with earthwork quantity takeoffs.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling for contractor machine control applications.
