Job summary

Zev Cohen & Associates Inc in Florida is seeking a licensed civil engineer with strong stormwater, drainage and site design expertise to lead projects.

You will design, model, and permit complex land development projects across sports facilities, commercial centers, residential developments and municipal programs, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in stormwater, utility and site design in Florida.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering; P.E. license in Florida preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, EPAnet and Stormwise Hydroflow.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage projects for land development and utility/stormwater systems.
• Prepare calculations and supporting documentation for stormwater, drainage and utilities.
• Collaborate with clients, agencies, and team members to meet project requirements.
• Contribute to planning and overseeing projects from concept to permit.

The focus of this position is providing professional engineering services for land development, utility and stormwater design projects. The employee will be responsible for the design and management of projects by applying engineering experience and knowledge to meet the client’s needs and the jurisdictional agency requirements. Primary responsibilities include design and supporting calculations for stormwater, drainage, and utility infrastructure for various projects such as sports facilities, commercial centers, residential development, roadways, municipal projects, parks and other land developmentimprovements.

Candidates for this position must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience performing calculations, modeling, and permitting of stormwater and utility improvements, site design, and related civil engineering tasks in Florida. The candidate should possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a P.E. registration for the State of Florida is preferred. The candidate should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, EPAnet, and Stormwise hydroflow software along with strong communication and writing skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
