GHD has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL. Working within our Engineering Design Organization (EDO), you’ll participate in the planning, design, and construction engineering of various facilities. You’ll also assist in developing master plans, technical reports, design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and permit submittals.

This position, working with an energetic and dedicated team, offers diverse responsibilities including:

• Development of project supporting information such as calculations, analyses, evaluations, cost estimates, report texts, figures, and drawings
• Performing construction phase engineering tasks like submittal review and test data evaluation
• Assisting in developing drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Contributing to the development of specifications
• Conducting condition assessments and reviews of existing facilities
• Helping develop preliminary facility layouts and designs
• Maintaining open communication with project team members and managers
• Training and mentoring entry-level engineers
• Leading the civil engineering design on multidisciplinary projects as the Designer of Record

Qualifications and skills you will bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 7-10 years of relevant experience
• Professional Engineering license in one or more states (preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Knowledge of site utilities and infrastructure modeling software (e.g., Bentley, Innovyze)
• Willingness to travel to job sites for construction observation and field investigations (approximately 25%)
