Job summary

We are partnering with a growing civil engineering firm in New York to add engineers and project engineers to the team. The role focuses on land development and site civil designs, working on commercial, mixed-use, and residential projects.

You will manage a team of engineers, perform hydrology work, and coordinate with municipalities for permits, while contributing to design, permitting and construction phases onsite or at local sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience in engineering planning and design is essential.
• Experience with stormwater, grading and drainage, site planning and zoning research is preferred.
• Proficiency in lighting design is a plus.
• PE license is a plus; driving license and vehicle are required.
• This onsite role involves local travel to sites daily.

We are currently working with a growing civil engineering firm that is looking to add headcount to the team of engineers and project engineers. Qualified candidates should have background in land development and site civil designs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, assist and support a team of engineers
• Utilize technical skills in storm water management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading and other site development related skills to assist with the preparation of subdivision and land development designs; including: commercial, mixed-use, residential and other types of projects.
• Provide engineering support during design, permitting, development, and construction for various land development projects;
• Working with municipalities for permits;
• Prepare hydrology and earthwork evaluations;
• Prepare engineering reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Experience providing engineering planning and design
• Experience with stormwater management, grading & drainage design, sanitary & roadway profiles, site planning & conceptual site layouts, zoning ordinance review and research, lighting design (any of the above)
• PE license is a plus
• Must have a vehicle and drivers license
• This role is onsite daily or travelling to local sites
