Job summary

Finoit Inc. in New Orleans is seeking a senior Lead Civil Engineer of Record to oversee DOE Strategic Petroleum Reserve projects. You will develop civil/structural designs, perform field verifications, and ensure compliance with standards across multiple sites.

The role requires a PE license and 15+ years (or 10+ with a Master's) in civil/structural engineering, with oil & gas project experience. Hybrid schedule with some travel to other Texas and Louisiana sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 15+ years of experience or Master's with 10+ years of experience.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong civil/structural engineering experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Experience designing foundations, pipe supports, access platforms, roads, and large equipment structures.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Bluebeam.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs, RFIs, contractor submittals, and cost estimates.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead Civil Engineer of Record for Department of Energy (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) projects.
• Develop civil and structural designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Perform field inspections, condition assessments, and site verification.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and industry codes.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and DOE personnel.
• Provide project updates and support construction activities.
