Job summary

Foundation Technologies, Inc. in Lawrenceville, GA, is seeking a civil/geotechnical/structural engineer to support takeoffs, quotes, and engineering guidance for contractors.

You will identify project opportunities and collaborate with sales to explore value engineering using helical piles and anchors. The role emphasizes customer service, documentation, and ongoing learning to become an internal and external subject matter expert, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering

Qualifications

BS or MS in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural engineering or equivalent.
EIT or PE certification preferred but not required.
5 years Civil/Geotechnical or Structural experience.
Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation.
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, basic CAD).
Strong communication skills (both written and oral) are necessary.
Strong customer service experience.
Easy to work with.
Curious.
Hard Worker/Self-Starter.

Responsibilities

Perform take-offs and material quotes for contractors.
Track and follow up on projects.
Provide engineering support and technical guidance to engineers and contractors.
Be actively involved in "Technical committees" to stay engaged with the engineering community.
Work with the sales team to proactively identify value engineering opportunities where helical piles/anchors are a viable alternative.
Prepare material submittal packages for customers.
Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

Put together take offs/quotes.
Answer technical/engineering questions.
Continuous learning to become internal/external subject matter expert.
Identify new project opportunities.
Identify and follow up with potential customers visiting the website.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural engineering; or its demonstrated equivalent
EIT or PE certification preferred but not required.
