EECI is looking for a professional engineer to lead our projects in the Flathead Valley. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating engineering plans for land development and municipal projects. They should have experience with AutoCAD and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create construction plans, design reports and develop permit applications.
This is a work from home position. However, the candidate must be located in the Flathead Valley.
Responsibilities
- EECI is seeking a full-time licensed Professional Engineer with strong organizational, supervision and technical skills to manage all facets of a project including project management, presentations, conceptual design, construction documents, construction administration and construction observation.
- Fulfilling requirements as Engineer of Record for the design, permitting, construction administration and observation of projects.
- Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.
- Oversight of project design team including engineers, designers, consultants and clients.
- Collaboration with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.
- Research, interpretation and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements.
- Development, implementation and utilization of EECI and client standards and templates.
- Preparation of specifications, review of shop drawings, and construction administration support as Engineer of Record
- Periodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation
- Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits
- Oversight and assistance with compiling construction plans from all disciplines and submittal to agencies having jurisdiction.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. License in the state of Montana
- 5+ years of US experience in design and permitting public or private projects
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Thorough understanding of project process from concept through construction
- Ability to consistently exercise good independent judgement in evaluation and determination of design solutions
- Stormwater management, water distribution and sanitary sewer collection system design experience
- Effective in providing instruction, teaching and mentoring in a positive and constructive manner
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Superior social, communication, written and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated
