$90,000 – $125,000 per year
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects from initial engineering studies and preliminary planning through final design and construction administration.
The successful candidate will have strong experience with municipal infrastructure projects, including water distribution, wastewater and sanitary sewer systems, stormwater drainage, and roadway infrastructure. This position requires strong technical capabilities, project coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, project teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
The Civil Engineer will contribute to engineering calculations, design development, construction documentation, permitting, project coordination, construction administration, and technical problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle
This is an on-site engineering position based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The role involves working in a professional consulting environment with regular collaboration among engineers, project managers, surveyors, designers, technicians, contractors, municipal representatives, and other project stakeholders.
The position may include a combination of office‑based engineering and project‑related field activities, including construction administration, site observations, project meetings, and coordination with contractors and municipal agencies.
The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple assignments, meet project deadlines, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and maintain a high standard of technical accuracy and professionalism.
