Responsibilities
Design of water, sewer, wastewater, subsurface infrastructure and utility plans, including corresponding profiles and specification data.
Design of stormwater management facilities and drainage conveyance systems, including hydrologic & hydraulic modeling, erosion and sediment control protection, relevant design calculations, etc.
Prepare code compliant calculations and reports.
Prepare permit drawings and application packages.
Prepare site surveys and existing conditions plans.
Provide on-site review services during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Perform related duties as assigned or required to meet company goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
FE/EIT, PE Preferred
Basic familiarity with land surveying techniques, and land development practices.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Stormwater Modeling Software such as HydroCAD and Hydraflow Hydrographs, Drainage Modeling Software such as StormCAD, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, and spreadsheet computations.
Effective written and oral communication skills are a must for preparation of project reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents.
Team player, ability to work in an interdisciplinary office environment, detail oriented, and self-disciplined to work in a hybrid office.
Preferred Experience
Ability to independently complete site GPS surveying and lead detailed surveying field work.
Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling of natural systems and stormwater collection systems, floodplain management and modeling, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and scour analysis.
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software for open channel and closed conveyance systems such as, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, etc.
Experience with roadway design and traffic analysis.
Experience with DelDOT design standards.
AutoCAD Civil 3D grading, gravity & pressure pipes, and corridor design.
Experience with GIS software and integration with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Field experience with construction review and Certification as a Delaware CCR.
