Job summary

Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. seeks a Civil/Municipal Engineer for our Omaha/Council Bluffs office to serve local governments and utility providers on civil, municipal, and environmental projects.

The position requires a PE or EIT with 5–10 years of design experience and a willingness to collaborate with CAD Technicians, construction observers, and land survey staff to ensure projects meet budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering is required.
• 5–10+ years of civil engineering design experience preferred.
• Iowa or Nebraska PE license or EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred.
• Experience with roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
• Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a full-time Civil/Municipal Engineer to sit in our Omaha/Council Bluffs office. Our team works with local governments and utility providers on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training who would work with CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs and office staff in various capacities.
