Job summary

ARCO/Murray is seeking a Civil Engineer with land development experience to design and draft multi-building plans in Civil 3D for commercial and industrial sites in Chicago. You will perform site investigations, grading, and utility design to assess developability and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or other Engineering or Design discipline.
  • 2-8 years’ of land planning experience in Chicago.
  • AutoCad Civil 3D experience creating AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and styles is a plus.
  • Ability to perform stormwater detention analysis and site utility design calculations independently.
  • Ability to read and understand local zoning codes, stormwater management codes, FEMA floodmaps, FWS wetland maps, record civil and survey drawings.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required. ARCO/Murray will support the pursuit of licensure for EIT and offer a $5,000 bonus for successful competition of PE license.

  • Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project with Design/Build contracting team
