Job summary

Summit Design and Engineering Services in Asheville, NC seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead planning, development, and execution of civil projects with minimal supervision. You will serve as a primary client contact, fostering relationships through regular communication and responsive problem-solving.

Responsibilities include proposals, cost estimates, schedules, supervising staff, QA/QC on deliverables, entitlement/permitting navigation, mentoring, project budgets, sub-consultant

Qualifications

  • BSCE from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive site/civil design experience with a strong portfolio across retail, commercial, public, and residential projects.
  • Expertise in site layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer utilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of local entitlement and permitting regulations.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, Hydraflow Storm Sewers/Hydrographs, WaterCAD, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

Job description

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
