Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Scottsdale office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join the Roadway team. The role involves supporting project managers on various civil tasks, including alignments, drainage, streetscape, and multimodal design.

This non-remote position offers mentorship, on-the-job training, exposure to plan production, and client interactions, with a collaborative work environment and opportunities to grow toward professional licensure.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with a civil engineering design firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or able to obtain within 12 months).
• Proficiency with Civil 3D or MicroStation tools.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with a variety of civil tasks.
• Perform alignments, grading, and drainage design.
• Contribute to roadway improvements and multimodal design.
• Prepare signage, striping, and signal plans.
