You will focus on drainage and culvert systems design for major road and highway projects, primarily in the US East Region.

This role can be based anywhere in the USA, offering remote work or a hybrid option with a local Parsons office. The position can also be filled at a more experienced Senior Engineer level.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and supervise engineering products that meet quality standards, including problem definition, scope, budgeting, scheduling, technical direction, and reporting.
  2. Design drainage and culvert systems for state DOT road and highway projects nationwide.
  3. Create detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design packages, technical reports, and analyses.
  4. Support other engineering activities as needed and supervise subordinates, providing performance feedback.
  5. Lead or participate in project teams, providing technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and junior engineers.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  2. At least 3 years of relevant experience in road and highway drainage design, preferably with state DOT projects.
  3. EIT certification is required; PE licensure in any US state is desirable but not mandatory.
  4. Proficiency in CAD software, especially Microstation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  5. Experience with state DOT projects or land development drainage systems, including permits, is preferred.
Additional Information:

No security clearance required. This role is part of our Critical Infrastructure team, dedicated to designing and delivering essential infrastructure that connects and protects communities globally. We value diversity and equal opportunity in employment.

Salary Range: $62,300.00 - $109,000.00

We offer comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k), life insurance, flexible schedules, and holidays.
