M3 Engineering & Technology Corp. is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to create full-scale civil designs using Civil 3D for commercial and institutional projects in Tucson, AZ.

You will assist senior engineers, prepare drawings, and ensure adherence to building codes and materials specs. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of drafting experience, strong Civil 3D skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of relevant drafting experience.
• Associate degree in drafting preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of commercial and industrial construction.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills.
• Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the design and development of civil plans and drawings using Civil 3D.
• Assist in the research, plan and design of projects for clients under the supervision of a senior engineer.
• Address redlines comments and coordination items as directed by a senior engineer.
• Apply knowledge of design, construction procedures, building codes and building materials to design and production work.
• Prepare construction documentation regarding design, material specification, and detailing.
• Prepare or assist in preparing material quantity estimates, and civil designs.
• Support civil projects by preparing routine layouts, detailing drawings, sketches and diagrams, details shall depict all views and dimensions necessary.
• Coordinate with other departments as needed for project coordination and confirmation of civil design.

Position Overview

Candidate will use CAD (Civil 3D) software to create full-scale, detailed civil designs for commercial and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of commercial and institutional civil plans and drawings using Civil 3D.
• Assist in the research, plan and design of projects for clients under the supervision of a senior engineer.
• Address redlines comments and coordination items as directed by a senior engineer.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, Skills and Licensing

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• An associate’s degree in drafting is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D. Civil 3D will be the primary software utilized in this position.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Knowledge of commercial and industrial construction.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills.
• Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner.
• Must be able to work in a team environment, sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
• A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
• Pass background check.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
• Strong Civil 3D expertise.
• Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
