BCP Engineers & Consultants is seeking a Drafter (Mechanical or Civil/Structural) for a hybrid role. You can work in Charlotte, NC or Stonington, CT, with 75% remote and 25% onsite engagement.
The assignment lasts 12 months, with a pay rate up to $50/hour non-exempt. Standard 40-hour weeks with possible overtime and travel to client sites.

The Drafter will apply manual and computerized drafting methods with a working knowledge of the terms and procedures of the occupation to obtain the desired product. Assignments will be completed utilizing information provided by engineers or design staff under the direction of a supervisor. Individual will be relied upon to apply a working knowledge of mechanical and/or civil/structural design to prepare mechanical isometrics, plans, elevations, and sections, piping plans, details, and pipe hanger supports, and details utilizing engineer sketches and vendor information. Other responsibilities may include preparation of bills of material, resolution of client comments and as-built drawing preparation.
Will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry, and move objects safely. Must be able to pass a background and drug screening. Will work mainly in a general office environment but will be required to visit sites. Capable of operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less. Ability to perform walk downs of equipment in an industrial plant environment, to include climbing ladders, working at heights, carrying equipment up to 50 pounds, accessing security-controlled areas, and entering confined spaces and controlled hazardous (e.g. high temperatures, high radiation) areas is required.
