Responsibilities

• Directs the operations, personnel, workload, and legal work of the Civil Division.
• Supervises attorneys, section chiefs, paralegals, and support staff and sets Division priorities.
• Oversees legal representation and advice to state officials, agencies, boards, and other entities.
• Provides strategic direction on significant civil matters and emerging issues.
• Oversees matters involving governmental law, opinions, public finance and contracts, environmental law, and state lands.
• Advises the Attorney General and executive leadership on civil matters.
• Coordinates with state agencies on Division matters.
• Ensures compliance with laws, rules, policies, and standards.
• Participates in hiring, performance management, and staffing decisions.

Education
