Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Richardson, TX office is seeking a Civil Design Technician with 6+ years of experience to join the Discipline team. The role focuses on drafting standardization, creating and verifying complex drawings, and guiding CAD staff to meet project schedules and quality goals.

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of Autodesk/Bentley products, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work both independently and within a team to deliver robust civil design solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
• Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Willingness to mentor and teach others.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
