Role Description

The Civil Designer will support the civil engineering team by preparing detailed site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts using CAD and related design software. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with stormwater management design, erosion control measures, and preparation of construction documents and permitting drawings. The role involves reviewing survey data, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and updating plans based on feedback from internal reviews and external agencies. This is a full-time, on-site position based in East Bridgewater, MA, requiring regular collaboration with colleagues and occasional field visits to better understand project conditions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Civil Engineering Design and preparation of Site Plans for land development projects.
• Experience with Stormwater and Stormwater Management design, including drainage systems and best management practices.
• Knowledge of Erosion Control methods and integration of these measures into overall site design.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar) and ability to produce clear, accurate drawings.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to site development and permitting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, engineering technology, or a related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
