IMEG is growing, and we would love for you to join our team! We are currently seeking a Civil Design Technician 2 in our Greenwood Village office. As a Civil Design Technician 2, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and consultants to develop civil design solutions and advise clients to ensure positive outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with models and drawings for civil engineering projects, working within project budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

Core Responsibilities

1. Request clarification from designers on markups or instructions for drafting purposes.
2. Assist engineers and designers with field measurements and prepare drawings from field data.
3. Contribute to the design and analysis of civil engineering projects using engineering software and tools, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
4. Document design decisions and client instructions, monitoring project progress.
5. Analyze low to medium complexity design tasks and propose innovative, practical solutions.
6. Participate in quality control processes to meet IMEG standards and client requirements.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.
8. Prioritize safety in all design work, identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.
9. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project objectives.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in Civil 3D; experience with Bentley OpenRoads is a plus.
• Knowledge of design techniques and production of technical plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and pay attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Education and Experience

• Associate's degree or certification in Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software.
• Minimum of 2 years, preferably 3, in civil engineering consulting or construction.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, or pull.
• Limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $69,000, based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Benefits include bonuses, stock options, health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, paid holidays, and PTO.
