Sands Decker, a civil engineering and land surveying firm in Columbus, is seeking an experienced Civil Design Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring Civil 3D proficiency and a collaborative mindset to work on diverse site development projects.

Applicants should be capable of coordinating with contractors and clients, visiting sites, and delivering accurate design information under deadlines in our Columbus office.

Competenze

• 2+ years experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Must hold a current valid driver's license.
• Background check and drug testing required (Ohio Drug-Free Workplace).
• BS degree in Civil Engineering preferred but not required.
• Understanding of Ohio/state and local agency design rules.
• Team player with strong communication and ability to meet deadlines.

Mansioni

• Prepare civil engineering drawings for site development including storm water drainage, sanitary sewers, waterlines, storm sewers, and supporting design information.
• Attend pre-design site visits/meetings with contractors and/or clients.
• Coordinate with other design and survey technicians.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• 2 years or more of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Must hold a current valid driver's license
• Must pass a background check and drug testing (we are an Ohio Drug-Free Workplace)
• BS degree in Civil Engineering preferred, but not required.
• Understanding of State of Ohio and local agency design and approval requirements
• Have the ability to work with outside contractors/clients in a team atmosphere
• Be able to work with others and as a team player
• Understands the need to complete work within deadlines
• Must be accountable and dependable
• Must be detail oriented and have the ability to enter data accurately
• Must have good communication skills

Our Civil Design Technician will:
