Job summary

Olsson in Omaha, NE is seeking a Civil Design Manager to lead QA/QC for the team, provide senior level design review, and manage staff on technical project aspects. You will direct multidisciplinary coordination and help ensure high-quality deliverables across projects.

You may travel to job sites, work in varied terrain, and coordinate with disciplines while promoting efficiencies and strong client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of CAD software experience (AutoCAD Civil 3D).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Project management experience for medium-sized projects.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages staff on technical aspects of projects including coordination with all disciplines involved on projects.
  • Plans and oversees the quality review process of project deliverables.
  • Provides a consultative resource to clients for project resolution.
  • Strengthens and further develops subject matter expertise in certain design areas.
  • Provides senior-level design review for various projects on the team and acts as a resource for technical issues.
  • May assist in the preparation of project studies by completing drawings, sketching, or acquiring data.
  • Promotes efficiencies in producing quality work.
  • Supervises and reviews assignments of less experienced staff.

Job Description

Olsson provides multidisciplinary, preliminary, and construction design services for mixed-use, commercial, and residential land development projects, along with industrial, sports, schools, and other site development types.

As a Civil Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance/quality control for the team, providing senior level design review for the team, and attending client meetings. You will direct and manage project staff on technical aspects of projects. You may also travel to job sites at different stages in construction and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

Primary Responsibilities will include:
