Job summary

KPFF Los Angeles is actively seeking a Civil Design Engineer with 3–5 years of site development experience to join our civil engineering team. You will design grading, drainage, water and sewer systems, and coordinate with staff and clients to deliver robust civil solutions.

The role requires E.I.T. or P.E., proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D, and strong communication skills. You will work in a mentorship-driven environment focused on quality, safety, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• E.I.T. or P.E. license required.
• Three to five years of site development engineering experience.
• Self-starter and self-motivated.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering aspects of site development projects (grading, water, sewer, storm drainage).
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations.
• Coordinate work with staff and design team members.
• Research, permitting, and preparation of construction documents and specifications.
