Job summary

Van Cleef Engineering Associates LLC in Pottstown, PA, seeks a Civil Engineering Design Engineer to join our multi‑discipline team. You will work on subdivision and land development projects, preparing site plans, grading, utilities, and related drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of progressive design experience, an EIT is preferred, and a commitment to continuing education.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years of progressive experience in the design of private subdivision and land development projects.
• EIT preferred.
• Completion of continuing education classes or coursework relevant to the industry or position.

Responsibilities

• Design a wide variety of subdivision and land development projects across various sectors in southeastern Pennsylvania.
• Review Zoning, Subdivision and Land Development, Stormwater and other regulatory ordinances for applicability.
• Provide Sr. Project Designers with design assistance as required.
• Prepare Sketch Plans, Site Plans, Grading, Utilities, Road & Utility Profile Plans.
• Prepare Subdivision and Land Development Plan design packages and reports.
• Meet with project managers to coordinate goals and timelines.
• Maintain regular communication on status of activities and timelines.
