Job summary

Freyer & Laureta, Inc., a Bay Area civil engineering firm, is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer at our Alameda office. The role focuses on design, analysis, and delivery of municipal and subdivision infrastructure projects, with mentorship and growth toward Project Engineer or PM roles.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering, possess an active EIT, and have related experience in planning, design, and mapping using Civil3D, with strong communication and coordination skills across teams

Qualifications

• EIT Certificate is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager and lead designer on projects.
• Produce civil design using AutoCAD Civil3D and related tools.
• Perform hydrological and hydraulic analyses and sizing per codes.
• Coordinate submittals and respond to agency review comments.
• Maintain project files and QA/QC documentation.
• Develop project materials and presentations.
• Prepare grading, drainage, paving, and utility plans.
• Support business development activities.
