Position Description

This position is based in our Loveland, CO office. The Civil Design Engineer will assist in designing land development projects, including grading, drainage, street design, water and sewer systems, and stormwater management. Tasks also include preparing SWMPs, Drainage Reports, and Utility Reports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Transform initial design concepts into construction documents using AutoCAD.
2. Establish alignments, profiles, cross sections, and perform earthwork calculations with AutoCAD software.
3. Prepare plans for drainage, grading, water, sewer, storm drain, and street improvements for land development projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
4. Develop engineering drawings adhering to standards.
5. Design construction documents and create exhibits and maps based on field data and research.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with 1-3 years of experience; entry-level candidates considered.
• E.I.T. certification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2009 or newer), Civil 3D, and Hydrology/Hydraulics software.
• Experience with commercial and retail projects is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
