Job summary

gpac is seeking a Civil Design Engineer in Chicago for land development and infrastructure projects from concept to construction. You will design site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater with Civil 3D and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet aggressive deadlines.

Qualifications

• BSCE or related field required.
• 2-6 years of relevant civil/site design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
• Strong understanding of stormwater design, grading, and utility layout.
• PE or EIT required.

Responsibilities

• Develop site layout, grading, utility, stormwater, and erosion control plans using Civil 3D.
• Prepare design documents, engineering calculations, technical reports, and permit applications.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other disciplines to meet design objectives and deadlines.
• Assist with permitting at local, state, and federal levels.
• Support construction administration including RFIs, site inspections, and as-built drawings.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year (base) + bonus eligibility
