JB Search Partners in South Carolina is partnering with a respected defense litigation firm to hire an experienced Civil Defense Litigation Attorney. The role focuses on strategic defense work for individuals and businesses with flexibility and a balanced schedule.

The attorney will manage matters through resolution, perform legal research, draft pleadings, and communicate with clients while supporting trial readiness and collaboration with a seasoned team.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in South Carolina.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Experience handling civil litigation matters.
• Jury trial experience or strong desire to develop trial experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Handle client communications and case strategy discussions.
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, depositions, and trials.
• Work closely with attorneys and support staff to ensure exceptional client service.

We are partnering with a highly respected South Carolina defense litigation firm seeking an experienced Civil Defense Litigation Attorney to join its growing team.

This firm has built a strong reputation for providing strategic and effective defense representation for individuals, businesses, law enforcement agencies, corporations, and insurance carriers throughout South Carolina.

Their practice includes motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, products liability, and a broad range of civil defense litigation matters.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $110,000 - $130,000, depending on experience
• Firm pays approximately 90% of employee health insurance premiums

What You'll Do

• Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Handle client communications and case strategy discussions
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, depositions, and trials
• Work closely with attorneys and support staff to ensure exceptional client service

What We're Looking For

• Licensed attorney in South Carolina
• Experience handling civil litigation matters
• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Experience litigating in State and Federal Court
• Ability to independently manage a caseload
• Knowledge of South Carolina tort law
• Jury trial experience, or a strong desire to develop trial experience
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
