Job summary

Pivotal Solutions is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on Hawaii projects, overseeing multiple crews and coordinating work fronts to deliver safe, high-quality infrastructure.

You will partner with Senior Superintendents and Project Managers to keep production moving, mentor Foremen, and align field activities with project plans and schedules. This role emphasizes hands-on leadership in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of successful experience as a Superintendent or comparable leadership role in heavy civil construction.
• Experience coordinating multiple crews while maintaining production, quality and safety.
• Strong knowledge of underground utilities, grading, excavation, trenching, earthwork, equipment coordination, sequencing and field operations.
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations, trench safety, environmental compliance, and quality control.
• Ability to read construction plans, specifications, schedules, contracts, and project documentation.
• Excellent planning, scheduling, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate field conditions, schedule impacts, resource needs, and project status with project leadership.
• Coach and mentor Foremen while developing future leaders.
• Reinforce our expectations for professionalism, safety, housekeeping, and quality every day.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying issues and practical solutions.

We’re looking for a Civil Superintendent who thrives in the field, leads with confidence, and knows that great projects are built by great teams. You'll oversee multiple crews, coordinate complex operations, and help deliver the infrastructure that keeps Hawaii moving.

What You'll Own

As the Civil Superintendent, you'll serve as the project-level field leader responsible for coordinating multiple crews, work areas, and phases of construction while partnering with Senior Superintendents and Project Managers to deliver safe, high-quality, profitable work.

You'll:

What You Bring

We're looking for proven field leadership, including:
