Job summary

Norrell Construction, Inc. is hiring a Civil Helper in Clute, TX to support civil engineering projects with material handling, site prep, and general construction duties. The role reports to the Civil Department and is full-time in a non-exempt capacity.

You will work closely with engineers and trades, follow safety protocols, and contribute to on-site tasks including loading, unloading, and preparing foundations while maintaining accurate records and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow instructions correctly.
• Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations.
• Must be able to reach work on time and work the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with proper notification.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Must pass drug and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in material handling and site preparation.
• Operate basic hand tools and small machinery under supervision.
• Assist in excavation, leveling, and grading work.
• Support concrete-related tasks including mixing, pouring, and finishing.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report safety issues to the supervisor.
• Record work progress and assist with project documentation.
