Job summary

SCR Civil Construction LLC in Richmond, TX is seeking a Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy mobile equipment, trucks and tools to keep daily operations running smoothly. You may be required to support pick-up or on-site maintenance within Texas.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, and operating a range of equipment. A High School diploma and a valid license are required, along with owning the necessary tools and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 1–2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment or trade school graduate.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of trucks, equipment and tools including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gasoline engines and diesel systems.
• Operate and have working knowledge of a wide array of complex equipment.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Job description

SCR Civil Construction LLC is currently seeking a Shop Mechanic for our Richmond, Tx office located near the Houston, Tx area. As a Shop Mechanic, you will support daily operations by keeping heavy mobile equipment, trucks, and tools in good operating condition in order to meet production needs. Occasionally one day trips when required for pick-up or on-site maintenance need, within the state of Texas.

SCR was formed in October 1986 with the purpose of providing high quality highway and bridge repairs and roadway maintenance to local and state government entities. For over 40 years, SCR has been a leader in this market in Texas and continues to grow using innovation and experience.

Job responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of company trucks, equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gasoline engines and diesel systems.

Job Requirements:
