Job summary

Tri-City Group in Iowa is seeking a Project Manager to oversee project finances, approve invoices, track hours and WIP. You will attend preconstruction meetings, review specs, gather quotes, and coordinate with customers and subs.

The role requires a degree in Construction or related field, experience in large-scale projects, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam. Travel is required and you will create and maintain project schedules.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction, Construction Management, or a combination of experience and education.
• Previous experience in large-scale, fast-paced construction projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Bluebeam

Responsibilities

• Attend Preconstruction/Kick Off Meetings
• Attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and contents of projects
• Review proposed specifications and drawings to determine scope and contents of the estimate
• Gather quotes, print drawings, count, take-off estimating, and respond to RFIs and RFQs
• Professionally interact with customers, other trades, general contractors, and internal staff
• Provide Construction Services with up-to-date CAD drawings
• Assist with the assembly of shop drawings as per project requirements
• Keep an updated status of quoted items, subcontractors, and equipment purchase orders
• Complete paperwork and reports, such as weekly reports
• Prepare prints for other Project Managers, Field Foreman, and Construction Services
• Track department estimates and assist in the submittal process
• Coordinate with other divisions as needed
• Assist in project closeout, including warranty information, as-built drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals
• Maintain good relationships with customers
• Create and maintain the project schedule
• Coordinate manpower needs with field supervision
• Track labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Understand contract terms & risk management
• Schedule manpower and subcontractors using Microsoft Project or similar
• Ability to work on multiple projects
• Travel is required
