Job summary

Distro in Amarillo, TX seeks a motivated Project Engineer to support civil construction and site development projects across Texas. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward.

This role offers hands-on exposure to earthwork, underground utilities, site development, and infrastructure, with room to grow into a future Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction plans and specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common CM software.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in day-to-day execution of construction projects.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, coordination, and tracking activities.
• Help align field operations with project schedules, milestones, and priorities.
• Follow up on outstanding action items to keep projects on track.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change documentation, and project records.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors; track procurement and deliveries.
• Monitor installed quantities, production rates, and project progress; assist with cost tracking and reporting.
