Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Civil Carpenter Foreman to join our Capital Projects Team in Old Ocean, TX. The Foreman will supervise a crew, interpret blueprints, coordinate tasks, and ensure work meets safety and quality standards on industrial projects.

Ideal candidates have strong carpentry skills, at least four years in the trade, and proven leadership abilities. This non-exempt, on-site role reports to the General Foreman or Supervisor, with potential safety and schedule responsibilities

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in the carpenter trade.
• Knowledgeable in the carpenter craft to lead others.
• Possesses basic leadership/mentor skills.
• Able to plan/coordinate multiple job tasks at the same time.
• NCCER Crew Leader Certification preferred.
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Upholds company safety guidelines for all employees under his/her direction.
• Interprets blueprints, sketches, written and/or verbal orders; assigns duties and coordinates work.
• Inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of duties.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned construction workers; enforces safety rules.
• Maintains time, production, and other records; studies schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
