Job summary

Parametrix, Inc. is seeking a CAD Technician for the Greater Washington Community Building team. You will develop engineering plans and construction documents for site development projects, shaping vibrant communities. The role offers hybrid work flexibility and may support projects across the region.

You will use Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and InRoads to produce accurate drawings and collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure quality and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology, civil engineering, drafting.
• 5+ years CAD design or drafting experience, preferably civil site development.
• Experience interpreting engineering markups and translating into drawings.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or InRoads; Revit preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD plans, details, and layouts for civil site development projects.
• Prepare and revise plan sheets for grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and other site improvements.
• Translate engineering direction and redlines into clear drawings.
• Use Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and InRoads to create and maintain drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, PMs, and other disciplines; review drawings for quality.
