Job summary

MEB is seeking a Civil CAD Technician to transform engineering designs into field-ready layout points and as-built documentation, processing laser scan and drone data to support field teams. You'll work across water and wastewater projects, pipelines, and industrial facilities, collaborating with Survey crews, Project Managers, and the BIM/VDC team to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe construction.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of professional Civil CAD or survey drafting experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Experience creating field layout calculations and as built drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction and utility plans.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Convert engineering drawings into field ready layout point files.
• Create survey calculations from alignments, profiles, and utility designs.
• Verify design information before releasing layout data to the field.
• Coordinate priorities with Survey crews and project teams to keep construction moving.
• Develop and maintain alignments, profiles, surfaces, and utility models in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Produce construction drawings, plots, and project deliverables.
• Interpret civil and utility drawings for underground infrastructure.
• Prepare asset tables and owner deliverables.
• Develop accurate as built drawings using field survey data.
• Create profile drawings and project closeout documentation.
• Assemble deliverables in CAD, Excel, and PDF formats.
• Process laser scan and drone data into usable point clouds and surfaces.
• Support BIM/VDC workflows using scan data for modeling and quantity calculations.
