Job summary

Apex Companies is hiring a CAD/GIS Technician to support civil design drawings, grading, utilities, and BIM modeling using Civil3D, AutoCAD Map3D, Carlson, and Revit. You will process drone data, perform earthwork calculations, and coordinate with Civil, Mining, Environmental, Survey, and Construction teams.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, with hands-on CAD software experience and strong technical communication. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology, CAD, or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong technical communication and attention to detail.
• Sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Review CAD drawings to ensure Standards compliance (layering, dimensioning, naming).
• Prepare civil design drawings for grading, utilities, using Civil3D.
• Create construction documents from design marks following specs.
• Prepare mining/permitting exhibits using AutoCAD Map3D and Carlson.
• Process drone field data for mapping and BIM models with Revit.
• Perform earthwork quantities and coordinate multi-discipline teams.
• Collaborate with Civil, Mining, Environmental, Survey, and Construction teams.
• Support project setup and maintain designer schedules.
• Work with CAD team, PMs, and PEs to understand scope, schedule, budget.
• Actively develop your own career growth.
