Job summary

Cochran, a growing civil engineering firm with 7 Missouri offices, seeks a CAD Tech - Survey (CAD Drafter/Designer) to join our team. You will transform concepts into precise buildable drawings, collaborating with engineers to ensure accuracy and efficiency from design through completion.

Responsibilities include drafting using CAD/Civil 3D, creating maps and drawings from surveys, and providing drafting support to Engineers and Surveyors.

Qualifications

• Must have an understanding of Civil CAD-based drafting procedures.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D software.
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects.
• Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles using cross-sections and surveys.
• Correlate, interpret, and modify data from topographical surveys and reports.
• Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages per specifications.
• Review rough sketches and drawings to conform to design concepts.
• Provide Engineers and Surveyors with drafting support.

Responsibilities

• Understand Civil CAD-based drafting procedures and apply them to project drawings.
• Produce CAD drawings using Civil 3D for various projects.
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures and site developments.
• Create maps and profiles from survey data to represent elevations and contours.
• Interpret data from surveys and geophysical reports for drafting input.
• Prepare final drawing packages per required mediums and specs.
• Review incoming sketches for conformance with design concepts.
• Support engineers and surveyors with drafting tasks.
