Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Civil Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer located in Sarasota, Florida. This role involves providing drafting and design support for various civil engineering projects such as site development and utility design.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or technical certification and at least 3 years of experience in civil engineering drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Additionally, strong collaboration skills and project management experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering drafting and design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and pipe networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain civil engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare site, grading, utility, and roadway plans for land development projects.
• Incorporate design updates and revisions based on input from engineers and project managers.
• Coordinate with internal team members for accuracy and quality of design documents.
• Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and project documentation.
• Support permitting and construction documentation efforts.
