Doucet, a Kleinfelder Company is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidates will participate in and contribute to a diverse range of engineering projects and services in our team-oriented environment. Under the direction of experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to Public Works projects, and other engineering projects.Job Responsibilities:Under supervision and working with experienced staff, the successful candidates will complete civil engineering designs and generation of construction plans and exhibits in the following areas:• Utilize Civil 3D including alignments, profiles and grading features to produce engineered construction plans and sheet set ups• Strong desire to learn and an interest in civil engineering design• Variety of Civil 3D Plans, maps, and bills of materials • Work in conjunction with civil engineers and project leaders to develop engineering designs• Follow project schedules and allotted hours by Project manager• Follow internal and/or client procedures and standards• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving and good communication skills• Ability to work as a team player, take direction, and interact well with others• Evaluating design alternatives to solve constructability, code, and site challenges.• Preparing meeting minutes and communicating schedule updates to Project Controls.• Self-starter who can work independently and with team membersPosition Requirements:• Associate or Technical Degree in CAD, Survey, Construction, or Engineering or B.S. in Engineering, Technology or Construction related fields from an accredited institution or acceptable equivalent. B.S strongly preferred. • 0-5 years of experience with B.S. 2+ years required with Associate’s Degree• Basic knowledge and experience using AutoCAD is required. Proficiency with Civil 3D is strongly preferred.
