Job summary

D.H. Griffin Infrastructure, a division of the D.H. Griffin Companies, is seeking a Civil BIM Modeler to join its expanding team in North Carolina.

This role will develop, maintain, and update BIM models for active site civil projects, including grading, utilities, curb, gutter, and paving. You will coordinate BIM deliverables, ensure model compliance with the BIM execution plan, and collaborate with Survey Project Managers and field crews to integrate weekly survey data.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in BIM coordination software and workflows; Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks or similar platforms required.
• Working knowledge of site civil construction, including grading, utilities, and site infrastructure.
• Experience with BIM execution plans and model delivery requirements on public or institutional projects.
• Associate degree or higher in Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics, Construction Management, Architecture, Drafting, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in civil construction, BIM modeling, surveying, or drafting.
• Familiarity with GNSS machine control equipment and workflows preferred; Trimble Earthworks, GCS900, or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license required.

• Review design drawings and coordinate with engineers to resolve conflicts and ensure constructability.
• Maintain model version control, file structure, and project documentation standards.
• Assist in developing and documenting department BIM procedures and standards.

• Collaborate with Survey Project Managers and field crews to integrate weekly as-built survey data into current BIM models.
• Review design drawings and coordinate with project engineers to resolve model conflicts and ensure constructability.
