Job description

Civil and Structural Site Superintendent

Location: Challis, Idaho (primary project site), with nationwide travel

Work arrangement: Project-based, rotational on-site schedule with paid travel

Be the field leader driving a high-visibility modernization of a U.S. process plant and tailings facility. You will coordinate earthworks, concrete, and structural steel delivery across mission-critical foundations and superstructures, ensuring work is safe, sequenced, and on schedule. This role is pivotal to meeting construction readiness and field milestones, with strong runway to roll onto additional projects after successful closeout.

What you will do

  • Direct day to day field execution for civil and structural scopes, including earthworks, concrete foundations, and steel erection across process plant and tailings facility areas.
  • Plan workfronts, review IFC drawings and work packages, and raise constructability issues early.
  • Coordinate site prep, excavation, formwork, rebar, concrete placement, and structural framing with contractors and engineering teams.
  • Track contractor progress against short interval schedules, remove roadblocks, and escalate risks when needed.
  • Drive field safety, quality control, and environmental compliance.
  • Interface with mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation groups to coordinate handoffs and resolve clashes.
  • Lead inspections, punch list walkdowns, redlines, and turnover documentation.
  • Represent the project owner in the field while managing contractor performance and commercial documentation.
  • Keep daily reports, quantities, and photo records current, support progress meetings, and follow through on action items to closure.

What you bring

  • 10 plus years of site based leadership delivering civil and structural packages in mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial, or similar environments.
  • Deep knowledge of structural steel, concrete, earthworks, geotechnical considerations, and survey control.
  • Field logistics acumen, subcontractor performance management, and practical QA QC experience.
  • Safety first leadership, crisp communication, and a reputation for solving field problems in real time.
  • Technical diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent field experience. OSHA or MSHA training is a plus. Prior owner representation and familiarity with document control tools are assets.

Schedule, travel, and perks

  • Rotational on site cadence targeted at three weeks on and one week off, typical 10 hour days while on site.
  • Paid travel program, flights arranged, hotel within company guidelines, and a daily meal allowance. Open to travelers nationwide.
  • Assignment is targeted to start February 2026 with an expected project window through late July 2026, with potential to extend to subsequent programs.
  • Competitive market compensation, benefits aligned to employment type, and opportunity for future engagements based on performance.
