Job summary

Concept Engineers Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Civil 3D Designer to join our growing team. You will develop detailed civil designs and construction drawings, leveraging AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce accurate alignments and surface models.

Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver timely design deliverables and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders through the project lifecycle. A strong eye for detail and solid communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil design or drafting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
• Experience with land development, roadway, drainage, or utility design preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and survey data.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil designs and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Create alignments, profiles, corridors, grading, and surface models.
• Prepare plan and profile sheets, site plans, and utility layouts.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with construction documentation.
• Review drawings for quality control and standards compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, PMs and stakeholders throughout projects.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and design standards
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and survey data
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred
